You can use Apple Cider Vinegar for cleaning, just make sure you don't use it undiluted on clothing as it stains, but other than that it is perfect for surface cleaning I have been an avid user of Apple Cider Vinegar for years but have since switched to White Vinegar as I find Apple Cider Vinegar harder to find at a cheaper price than white vinegar, but use Apple cider vinegar diluted or undiluted on many surfaces, it cleans and disinfects and is touted to be the best disinfectant in the world just as white vinegar is also, but apple cider vinegar is gentler to the surface than white vinegar. it is not about the color of vinegar that matters, it is the acid effect of cutting dirt on glass mainly that works.
take some baking soda and pour into the sink drain. pour vinegar into the drain and watch the bubbles.
clean and sparkly! reason? vinegar is acid- soda is alkalin -they don't mix there fore they cancel each other out to become a neutral and finish the reaction.
Don"t know! I do know that you shouldn't use anything other that white vinegar when cleaning, or using it for stains, If you use the dark vinegar cider, balsamic, or red then you will be adding more stains to the fabric your working on. But if you want to try it , maybe you'll come up with something for the dark clothes . Let us know
Brown (cider) Vinegar will stain porous materials.
