The drain in my very clean bathtub smells like wet dirt....?

Question:what could that smell be? I am the only one who showers in this bathroom and it always smells fresh and clean but for the past week or two, I have been smelling a "wet dirt" smell coming from the drain. I sprayed bleach, but it came back. Any idea?

Answers:
Use a hair clog remover (liquid) The best one I have seen is made by Rubbermaid Commercial Cleaners. It actually dissolves the hair and doesn't just push it down.

try using baking soda in the drain
Sometimes the water in the "trap" will evaporate and allow the odor from down under to come up. Use a good drain cleaner in case there is a clog, then during the day run some water to keep that trap full of water.
Try using some vinegar (White) with that baking soda. Check for hair that may be clogging it where it initially drains. I use a tweezer to remove hair from mine. It's icky but needs to be done. IF your shower is in the basement it might need to be snaked. Good Luck!
try baking soda and vinegar in the drain- this also helps blockages
