Does anyone know how to get petroleum based salve off of micro suede?

Question:I had someone get the petroleum salve from a new tatoo on my brand new micro suede couch, Now it is stained and I can't get it off, just happened yesterday, any helpful hints? Please, and Thank you in advance!

Find a furniture/carpet stain remover product that is safe for micro-suede. Follow the directions, but let the product sit for a few minutes. Blot off - NEVER rub as this will spread the oil around.

Oil/petroleum based stains may need a few repeated treatments (wait a day between treatments). I've gotten petroleum-based chapstick on my clothes before - the stain always comes out after 2-3 washings.

You could also try phoning the store where you bought the couch to see what they recommend.
