Removal of bbq fat stain on porch's concrete?
Question:BBQ'd 2 days ago, unsightly marks won't go away w/ just a spray down of water. I know scrubbing w/ some sort of solvent should do the trick, but is there a quick + easy solution?
Answers:
baking soda, or baking soda and kosher salt together, with water...scrubbing it..or try vinegars (different ones too)! Good luck!
I have had the same problem use oven off just spray on rinse w/water.
I pour on bleach, then pile a little kitty litter on top, let it absorb the liquid, sweep up and throw away.
You live at my house? Funny,I never noticed you before. What to do is, spread some sand,sawdust,cat-litter,corn meal ,something of that nature over the spot and work it into the stain with a broom or brush. That will draw the oil out of the concrete.Leave at least two hours. Next use some good old "Dawn Dish washing liquid " on it. brush it into the stain. Let it set about an hour, and work it in again. Hose it off with water and it should be gone. Bye (this works at my house) Oh, Get one of those BBQ mats. Retail $34.99 Bye
kitty litter
corn meal
Believe it or not, while working in a deli, corn meal straight on a hot oil burn soaks up the oil and doesn't leave as bad a burn.
bleach dish soap and a high power washer that hooks up to the water hose
Go to your local automotive store and pick up some engine degreaser. follow the instructions and repeat if necessary.
try some pin-oil
