The difference in these washing machines?

Question:whats the diff between a belt driven washing machine, and a motor driven washing machine? is one better? or last longer?

i know that on a belt driven one, that there is a belt that goes from the motor to the drum, and presumably on a motor driven one, its more direct dive from the motor to the drum. i wouldent know if there was a better of the two...
