How do i stop my washing from getting covered in dog hairs?
Question:We have a Atkia/GSH cross who moults like mad, every time i wash some clothes, they come out covered in more hair then they went in with. Apart from the lint roller things is there anything else i can use ?
Answers:
sellotape a Lint Roller
Put a hedgehog in, they work wonders collecting all the fur. (for all you silly sausages, I'm joking!!)
Don't put your dog in the washing machine. It's a bit unkind.
Using a lint roller on your dog also seems rather cruel.
I guess that you wash the dogs blankets and towels in the machine too (obviously not at the same time!). Sometimes this happens to us. The only thing you could do really is to make sure that the washing drum has a really good clean out to get rid of as many as possible. You'd have to wash the dogs stuff seperately, either my hand, or collect a lot together and go to the laundrette, their huge machines might handle it better!
Drag a large sticky label--you can reuse price labels for food items or shipping--across your laundry items before tossing them in the hamper. This is an effective alternative to lint rollers and a practical way to recycle old labels.
You could use Sellotape to take the hairs of the clothes , before putting them in the washing machine. This would take to long, You could pass the hoover over you clothes before taking them off,or give them a shake before putting them in the machine. My daughter has a dog, and has the same problem. She just wear´s nylon tracksuits at home , the hairs are easier to brush off, Then she changes into something else when she goes out. All most impossible not to get rid of the hairs
Don't know !!
If you find out let me know i have the same problem !
I wash my dogs bedding separately from our washing. Then when finished I give the empty machine a couple of rinses, so no dog hair left.
