I accidentally dried an ink pen with the laundry and now the ink is all over the inside of the dryer. How do?
Question:How do I get it out of the dryer? Will it come off when I dry more clothes?
Answers:
Rub Alcohol (on a paper towel) over the spots, or a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
I'm not sure if it will get onto future loads of laundry. Do you best to get it off with alcohol first. It worked for me.
clean it with bleach. just make sure you get all the bleach out before drying more clothes.
DONT dry anymore clothes until the ink is out
Spray a cloth with hairspray and wipe it out. Make sure it is really saturated with hairspray. Keep changing clothes until it wipes clean
hello
since you look like a woman.
most all woman carry acetone, stronger than alchol. use paper tower on metal not plastic.
and very gently. or it might take off the finish.
it works but its a pain in the -------...clean the after
effects with windex,fantastic etc....
WoW! Try WD40 on a paper towel. Be sure to open a window, and don't work with it for more than a few minutes at
a time, because of the smell and fumes. Nail polish
remover with acetone should work as well. Same thing though--watch out for the fumes. If you have an old towel or
some old clothes, run them through the washer then the dryer before you wash your good clothes. You don't want ink to come off on good clothing. I usually check pockets, but once in a while, something slips through and I have a similar problem.
Which ever method is used I'm concerned about fire and or an explosion. Your dryer has a gas flame or electric coil that heats up to dry your clothes. Hair spray, nail polish and other solvents are higher flammable even explosive. If you are going to use anything flammable shut off the gas valve (this shuts off the pilot flame on gas dryers) unplug the electrical cord and try the product. After cleaning the flammable vapors may remain and flash once the dryer is used. You really are "playing with fire". I would try to find a non-flammable cleaner to do this job.
