How to get the wood smell out of my clothes?
Question:i just got a new dresser and everytime i take my clothes out of it, they smell like wood.
i've had it for like a month and it still happens.
how do i get rid of it or do i just have to wait for it to go away by itself?
Answers:
put dryer sheets in your dresser, so that way they will smell like they just came out of a dryer instead of a tree lol
Febreze works wonders.
Put the dresser in in a well-ventilated area for a couple of days with all the drawers open. There may be some glue-like materials within the wood or possibly something in the varnish/paint that is giving off volatile organic compounds (VOCs). So, leaving it out in the open for a couple of days should take care of it.
in z supermarkets there is plenty and plenty of product that u can use 2 put inside z dresser and they r not toxic, and they give a lovely smell 2 everything inside . and mean will remove Ur clothes and try 2 put them for 1 day outside under z sun
Try spraying the inside of your dresser with Febreeze, then put the clothes back in.
wash them in 1 load wiht a good powder soap like tide with bleach. powder is stronger than liquid.
If it were me I would buy Bounce dryer sheets and put some in the drawers. If that didn't work I would take some Backing soda in a small continer and leave it in the dresser drawers. If that still didn't work I would go to the mall and look for a home store. I would buy sashays that you can put in your dresser drawers. Good luck.
