Dried nail polish?
Question:I have this bright purple with glitter nail polish dried on my daughters carpet. she was trying to paint her own nails. that didn't work well for a 3 year old. Needless to say when i found out about it, it was already dried. The carpet is a med. shade gray and it's still very noctieable. the carpet ain't even 4 years old yet and it's in great shape out side of the nail polish. I'm thinking about selling my house and looking for something to work on it without making it lighter or even white.plus it's not in a area that you can hide it with something. any help i'll take. i won't use nail polish remover so don't even say that.

I'm sorry, but I doubt it will ever look right again. You can try acetone. Gently blot and it should help fade the color, but it will never look the same. Replacing that section of carpet is your best bet. You can hire a carpet layer to come and patch it with a spare piece or some carpet from the closet. If done right, it will look like nothing happened when done. Good luck
Have you tried lacquer thinner? This is the maximum orbit for any type of dried paint. CAUTION: Lacquer thinner is explosively fammable but if you take care it may aid in your dilemna. No open flame within thirty feet.
Have you tried freezing it off, put a few ice cubes in a plastic bag and rub, then with a blunt knife , gently scrape it off, should come of like this, I can also suggest you try using a little of your own nail varnish remover , then rinse this area straight away with warm water and a small amount of dish washing liquid, Kids are great , they don´t have care in the world, god bless
