Tiny hole in cotton shirt?
Question:I have a tiny hole in a cotton shirt that I bought, and I doubt I will be able to get the size if I try to return it. its about the size of a ballpoint pen point and has a tiny thread sticking out, is it going to get bigger? and how could i fix it if i keep the shirt?
Answers:
You could try an iron on patch on the wrong side of the fabric, but it might still get larger over time. Use fraycheck on the hole, then cut the patch to about the size of a quarter and iron it on according to instructions. Both fraycheck and the patches can be found in the notions section of a fabric store.
I would take it back to the store and if they don't have another in your size, ask them to call around to other locations in your area.
leave it, or if you have some sewing skills use them. If not, let it alone and if it gets larger just use some iron on tailor tape, it fixes any hole or hem.
Take it back,it will get bigger and be noticeable. They probably had that detector thing there and pulled too hard. They will exchange it for you.Make sure to check the shirt for holes in it.Could a be a manufacturing defect...
