Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, they are great! I haven't found much they won't get rid of. If it doesn't work you might try a bleach pen. Good luck!
You could try alcohol, but I'm not so sure about that. IT works on regular marker, but I've never tried it on permanant. hope it works 4 u!
yes, there is a simple solution
First take a an expo marker or washable marker and color over the permanent marker and just wipe it off. A chemical reaction makes this possible and i know this to work well.
Try using rubbing alcohol. It worked on taking permanent marker off my carpet!

Go to the Sharpie web site. They have some ideas to try. I have bought the cleaner and had moderate success with clothing but amazing success on brand new white wood cabinets and wood floors. Good luck
