BIG dust problem in my room, help please!?
Question:Okay so I vaccuum and use swiffer duster weekly and there is SO much dust in my room its crazy. I will literally dust my desk and then in 5 minutes i can see dust again... I think I'm starting to get allergies due to this dust, its hard to breathe because my nose is always itchy like I'm about to sneeze all the time, and my nose gets really stuffy everyday. Also there are a lot of spider webs in the corners of my bedroom :x. It's so serious that.. I just dusted before asking this question and I'm about to post it and I see dust already. If I open my Window and let the sunlight come in I see like little dust particles floating everywhere. Please help! I really hate this dust

My house had the same problem you are describing.The only problem that I have with your question is "Is it only in your room or is it the whole area or house or apt. that the A/C is cooling"?After 8 yrs. of fighting the dust and having no one from A/C experts tell me what they thought,this last A/C guy told me the problem was that the vents in each room were not sealed correctly when they were installed.This house is 15 yrs. old.It was the best answer I had ever received.He then went to each vent and caulked each one and redid the whole house.Lo and behold my dust problem was solved.Do not think that after this there will be no more dust,it cut it back tremendously and I noticed a savings on the bill.Good luck.
PS This guy also told me that cleaning your duct will do no good whatsoever.
Your air ducts may need cleaning, check it out.
Do you live by a high traffic area? That can cause a LOT of dust. If that is the case, you may find it helpful to close your windows and use an air conditioner, which would also help with your allergies. Good luck.
P.S. Swiffers are great.
Try a portable air filter (like that one "Ionic" model)...also check your air vents, they probably need cleaning.
Change your vaccuum cleaner bag often. Use the swiffer daily for a while. Once a week is not enough. If you have a ceiling fan, put "ceiling fan filters" on them. The are available at home centers and attach to the top of your fan with 2 sided tape.
Put filters on your ducts and change them often.
What product are you using to dust with ?
Pledge multi surface is great and seems to reduce dust.
I know what you mean about the dust flying everywhere when the light or sunlight hits it.It is pretty gross.
If you can use an A/C and keep your windows closed, that might help too.
