I got a fabric/upholstery cleaner from rooms-to-go with my furniture order that was like a miracle. I don't know the name of it, or even if you can buy it in a store, but if you have a rooms-to-go near you go in and ask for some. It works!
i have no idea
Clean based on the type of fabric you have. Some are dry clean only (DCO) and others can be washed with water and soap. The DCO fabrics work with a dry cleaning solvent that is blotted in and off using a clean, white cotton cloth. It takes a little time but stains usually come out okay. You can also test DCO fabrics in an inconspicuous area for upholstery shampoo and water cleaning. Fabrics vary a great deal but I've found quite a few to be tolerant of soap/water spot cleaning.
While we're talking about cleaning, my favorite upholstery cleaning tool is a Bissell Little Green. It can quickly remove liquids before it gets a chance to soak in and spread. I get all types of stuff on my furniture and floors and it neatly pulls up all the dirt. It's meant for water-based upholstery and fabric cleaners; don't use it for flammable solvents (DCO cleaners).
it really does depend on fabric, most cloth fabrics can be damp washed, use a cloth apply the bubbles(foam) after mixing oxyclean and water, rub it on let it set for little while (at least hour) if you can still see stain reapply oxyclean, or dampen cloth with liquid mix rub it lightly, stain will dissappear. i use this one white berber carpet husband spilled entire glass of diet pepsi on it. never could tell where stain was after that. works great on pet stains to.
If you have children don't have a cream sofa and don't have Coca Cola in the house - it rots their teeth and contains caffeine (keeps them awake at night) and unatural sugars - makes them go wild.
Sorry - a bit off topic but a general warning for the future?
Best wishes,
Joan
Oh in mitigation I found another forum for you which *may* be of help -

and this is amusing but *I* wouldn't recommend it (if it is true think what Coca Cola does to children's stomachs if it strips grease from clothes!).I * have* heared that it makes a goood toilet cleaner though! -

To remove this type of stain a specialist service is required. If you try yourself you might overdo it and get watermarks to go with the lightened stain and then they are never fixable. Try http://www.scotchcare-services.co.uk... for upholstery stain removal it isn't as expensive as you think and they do have coupons days for savings.

Try Thieves it's an organic cleaner. I use it on everything. I had two huge stains on my tan carpet and it took them right out. You can get more info on it at www.moldrx4u.com
