After washing up, why is there always a spoon left in the bottom of the washing up bowl??

See here at our house there is always a cup...just when you think you are done washing up there is a cup somewhere.I think the cleaning gods do it just to keep us from relaxing.
I usually leave all the cutlery there till I am forced to wash up or go hungry.

try washing dishes in a dish washer or kitchen sink, 'wash up bowl' can't be disinfecting well, maybe the spoons letting you know he's not clean yet....

LOL i knoooow, soo true! I guess its because under the stack of large plates and foam, you dont realise the little rejected one underneath!... until u think, 'yay finished, and then u find it and are like damn!' =)

It's there, just to splash back at you when you rinse the bowl out.
Because it hides underneath your wash bowl and whilst your not looking it jumps back in.. when youve drained all the water out :]
I usually wait till my wife finishes the washing up then when shes not looking i sneek a spoon into the bowl, its fun cos she dont understand it either lol
I think it's because of the suds and tesaspoons being so little they can hide. Cunning little devils are spoons
