Why most people do not rinse the dishes properly when they do the washing up?

Question:

Answers:
Well I always do as I was taught to by my Mother (although my brothers normally did the dishes and I helped Mother cook and God help them if they didn't rinse).I made sure my boys rinsed properly before drying too.
Fussy? - no: if washing up liquid is designed to strip grease from plates what will it do to your stomach especially as it accumulates? And like all things this will have a worse effect on young children - look to that for some of the "tummy upsets" children have these days (or it's junk "fast food" for those who don't want to wash up at all and are unconcerned by the obesity epidemic).
Best wishes,
Joan

A few bubbles never hurt anyone, each to their own. I do rinse by the way, but I'm not bothered if people don't.
what`s washing up? clean the dishes ? rinsing ? are you from earth?
lazy
Cos they're lazy. Dont they understand that if you dont rinse properly it leaves residue..!?!
Honestly people!
my dad makes me dry the dishes and my brother washes em so i wouldn't know about that =]
pure and utter lazyness thats it
coz they just washed them so they cant be assed rinseing them aswell
why dont you rinse them
How are you supposed to rinse them? I thought it was just some warm water, towel dry and put them in the rack to finish drying for about 15 minutes or so and then put them away.
it makes me mad especially when at some body else's house and i have
a cup of coffee and there is soap suds in the cup it tastes like
washing up liquid i hate it
they wouldnt like it if left them in my cups
Actually, I leave it to my dishwasher !! not had a problem, yet...
DEFINE "PROPERLY".

If there are a few tiny bubbles on a plate or glass remaining after I rinse, they get wiped away with a dish towel. My dishes get rinsed well enough. I'm not about to waste a few extra gallons of clean water just to remove a miniscule amount of detergent.
Some people are just lazy and really don't want to be washing the dishes in the first place, this is a problem especially with kids.
I have a dishwasher. No problem here.
I agree with the other answer, define properly. I thought there was only one way to rinse them with water. Unless the person is using a half a bottle of soap in there sink when they are rinsing it doesn't take much to rinse the dish. Also, I too agree with the other answer if there is infact a couple of bubbles left on a dish I will not waste my time rinsing a second time. They are wiped down with a towel, however if I see a visable film I will re-rinse the dish.
Yes I do find this annoying too. But I suppose we all have different standards of what clean means some people find this totally acceptable while others do not. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. It's just another one of the everyday little niggles let it go you'll only stress yourself out.
What do you consider properly? What you deem as the correct method is not what everyone thinks is correct. I very seldom do dished by hand but when I do I make sure there are no bubbles left on them. But think about this. If your washing your dishes in the sink that dish water gets dirty and you continue to wash dishes just how clean are YOUR dishes that are being washed in dirty dish water?
That's why you should always rinse before you use them.
Just plain laziness.
I have a dish washer, but here in spain we have 2 sinks, some one washes and some one rinses, simple, you rinse clothes hands etc after washing why not plates?
are you talking about when putting dishes in a dishwasher or when done by hand? if done by hand, i do not rinse that is what the hot soapy water is for and then i rinse them in hot water after washed by hand. done by dishwasher, i do sometimes, but mostly not. that is what the dishwasher is for.
Laziness. I hate the taste of washing up liquid.
