A laundromat is great because you can get all the laundry done and it's over with in a couple of hours. Laundry at home can take all day but the advantage is you can put clothes right away and you don't have laundry basketsto empty out and your items don't get wrinkled.

It all depends on the laundromat. If it is clean and the machines in good working order than there should be no problem. I always took along vinegar and a cloth to clean out the machines before I used them though and I always cleaned out the dryer filters before I used them. Also clean any surfaces you will be placing your clean clothes on to fold.
Some laundry mats are a great place to meet people, you can get several loads of laundry done at the same time, they have the detergents and softeners readily available. The machines are larger so you can wash bedding.

Downsides are you have to load it all in your car and cart it there then home again. Some places are not very clean. Some people may steal your nice things if you step out. They are usually hot and humid inside. They can be costly.

I only go to wash my queen sized comforters.
I did and am still doing it. As far as I know, it is pretty clean, and has HUGE dryers that I like. However, the price is kinda expensive, but for the time being, it's ok. Feels weird in the first place when I started using it though.
I loved it it was so fast and easy to do everything at once it just sucked if the laundromat was busy.
i have, sometimes took 4 hours!! i hated it! too much money, i like the convienence of my own washer and dryer, gm, norman.
Before I had a washing machine I did all our wash at the laundrymat.. I would go early and get all my washing done all at once.. I would use the double capacity machine's and use acouple dryers... So, it was nice not to waste and entire day doing laundry... It's a nice place to meet people as well. The one that we had was super clean and it had an attendant as well... I did however, use disenfectant wipes on the folding surfaces... It was pretty cost effective as well.
i like being able to do ALL the laundry at once... but i like to be able to do other things about the house instead of being at a laundromat for a couple hours. i still go there from time to time to do my big bulky things but i like doing my laundry at home better...
Even though i own my own washer and dryer sometimes after we have had company for a week and the laundry is really piled up i load it all up and take it to the laundrymat. in 2 hours it is all done and since i am super organised i pack it all up in plastic bags according to where it goes into the house so when i get it all home again it takes me 10 minutes to put it all away.
I've used a laundromat several times before in my life to do my family wash and liked it
went to one when my son was a baby, had everything we owned in the dryers, son was hungry and needed changing, walked directly across the street to a sub shop, ordered a sand which and changed him while it was being made, someone stole everything we owned!
Yes I like laundromats. If you go to one with an attendant, they usually spend their time disinfecting the machines. I have had lots of adventures in laundromats but you wouldn't believe them. One that is publishable is that our local laundromat tried with a big fanfare, opening 24 hrs a day but not attended all the time. Vandals would try to get the coins, so they reverted back after a few days to having an attendant and shutting at 9pm. I got there at 8.45pm thinking it was still a 24 hr joint, and the attendants (the elderly owners) were too intimidated or too kind or something, to tell me. I filled 5 machines and read a book and wondered why they kept exchangiing glances. It started to rain and the drain out in the carpark was blocked and the car park filled with a huge puddle. I jammed all the cleaned, dried laundry in plastic garden bags and went out into the car park where I tripped over and all the laundry spilt out into the muddy puddle. They heard my screams and came running out. I said OH NO! I WILL HAVE TO DO ALL MY LAUNDRY AGAIN and they said WE SHUT 2 HOURS AGO OFFICIALLY!!
Yes it is fast but to do a family load it takes a lot of loads and a lot of coins.
I've been using the laundromat for.well, way too long. I dislike the prices going up though. Will have to start washing clothes in my tub if the price keeps rising.
Yes, I liked it because I got ALL my family of fours laundry done in just a matter of hours instead of stringing it out for days!
I don't like going to the laundromat,it's a hassle carrying the clothes out in bad weather and lugging them back home, i like doing them at my leisure in my own house ,i can watch tv or talk on the phone and still get my laundry done at my own pace,i did have to use the laundromat when my machine broke down and i didn't like it at all, time consuming and an inconvenience for me.
