HELP! I think I broke my Laundry Machine?
Question:The Agitator won't move.
I already took out all of the laundry to see if it was over loaded, and it still wont move and the agitsator makes a rough noise.
Is it broken over heated

Does it make a loud ratchety noise? It sounds like something broke and it skipped its gears. This is not good news. It might be fixable at a repair shop but you'll spend $$ getting it fixed.
the belt or pulley is broken. this happened before it can be repaired but with warning. my husband put new belt on and broke the pulley we had to replace washing machine.
