Best way to clean stainless steel pots-pans?

Question:

Answers:
I use a lot of stainless steel for cooking and over the years have found a very inexpensive solution to cleaning them especially the ones with burnt food stuck at the bottom. I use Used fabric softner sheets (sheets that i have already used in the dryer for my clothes) and have them soak in water in the dirty pan overnight. Next morning i use the same sheet as scrubber to clean the pan and all the burnt food comes off easily leaving a new look to the pan. Try it this works.

I use Dawn dish soap on mine and if the food is stuck on I use a still wool pad. You can soak them over night in hot soapy water.
Use a paste made of baking soda and vinegar.
the little green scouring pad will do
Try a product call Bar Keeper's Friend. You can find it at Bed Bath & Beyond. Follow instructions and it works like a charm on Stainless steel pans.
brillo pads work excellent..
Ordinary washing powder that u use for ur clothes .Leave pans to soak in it for bout twenty mins then rub with dish rag rinse and dry with tea towel shud look great
