Hi i have a new expensive skirt and the black is vanishing when i wash it does anyone know a chemical?

Salt in the water will do the job. Vinegar will make colors brighter.

rit dye?
Any thing with color that you don't want to fade should be washed in vinegar (eww, I know) first before ever washing in a regular machine. This will preserve the color.
i i had the same problem with a pair of black pants use rit dye.
Use black dye and from then on use the Woolite for dark clothes, use as directed on the Woolite bottle.
cheer makes a detergent especially for dark clothes
