Is there any way to get a stain out of a tie?
Question:
Answers:
The problem with ties is that the material they are made of water stains when liquid hits it. Many of hubby's ties are silk so I use dry carpet cleaning granules between dry cleanings. Resolve and Capture make them. Scrape off any food particles if that is what caused the stain with a soft toothbrush. Then, agitate the granules into the stain and let it sit for an hour or two. The moisture in the carpet cleaner isn't enough to leave a water ring.
hairspray.
you need to tell us what kind of stain.
1. Cover the entire stain area with orange peel oil (usually sold as TKO Orange oil, or find something that guarantees to be pure orange peel oil)
2. Place a warm wet cloth directly under the fabric where the stain is. You may want to thread the cloth up through the "tube" to get to this spot.
3. Apply a warm wet cloth over the stain and orange oil and dab lightly until the stain is diffused into the cloths. You may have to repeat these steps 2-3 times for success.
I saw a commercial on TV the other day...where a person had a bad stain, and another person loaned them a pen like device that had some stain remover in it. I believe it was advertising
Tide or another major brand of soap.
I wouldn't know where to find them, but maybe at a Janitor Supply store, or a hardware store. Possibly, Walmart would have them.
