yeah, yellow pages and a couple of thousand quid, get new ones
washing up liquid ?
shampoo
fabric conditioner

depends on the mark
baby wet wipes are great if the spots are relatively small and the rest of your carpet is clean.
You can dilute some shampoo in a bottle and use that.
Try the spray bottle of resolve. Spray and wipe. You can buy at nearly any market or walmart stores!
I use regular laundry soap. If your read the ingredients for the rug shampoo, and for laundry soap, it is the same thing. Measure the same amount you would of rug shampoo. To make your house smell nice, go over the carpet a second time, but instead of soap, put liquid fabric softener in the shampooer. I have been doing this for years, and my rugs and shampoo machine are all still in great shape.
Incredable! I get it at Kroger and it really is incredable and works every time. It's in a white bottle down the laundry isle.
When I am trying to clean my carpet that has a small stain caused by a pet, spill or what ever and I don't have any stain remover: I use a very little of dish washing soap on a brush and rub it very hard on the floor until the stain is removed. It works on most stains.
