How do i train my dog to bring his leash to me when we are ready to go for a walk?

First of all, I think you should take into account your dog's age. Is he older or just a pup? I'm sure you know your doggy and if he is "trainable".

I find it useful to use the same word for certain thing. Such as "let's go Potty", and "let's go Walkies". So they get used to the same words, much like "sit", "stay" etc. Of course, you have to use the reward system. Reward him with a treat everytime he understand "walkies" or whatever word you choose means you are going outside for a walk. Then introduce bringing the lead to you. Maybe it would be helpful to keep the lead bundled together, to make it easier for him to grab. See if you can get him to just bring it to you from one room to the next or always stand by the door when you ask him to bring it.
