They were all over boxes and some open bags of chips where I found the most was by my sugar..I have no clue what they are... Could they be bed bugs?? I have never seen any bugs on my bed tho...Please help what kinda of bugs are they and how can I get rid of them??
Answers:
they are unlikely to be bed bugs
my guess is they are a grain pest.most likely weevils
empty your food cupboards
check all your grain based foods...if affected throw away
place all grain based foods into airtight containers
clean your cupboards
then spray with a residual surface spray
once dry put the food back
when shopping check carefully grain based foods(pastas rice etc) if you see any webbing ,moths, beetles ,pin holes in the pack or even damaged packaging do not buy.
this is one advantage of see through plastic packaging
lol
Definately not bed bugs. Bed bugs pretty much live in your furnature or carpet. Hense the reason why they are called "bed" bugs. They are flat and look a bit like a miniature cockroach and they only come out at night.
Not sure what you have in your cabinets though..
Fleas??
they sound like weevils to me throw everything away , then keep everything in air tight containers they will go away when there is nothing for them to eat hope this helps ...
Ick, ick, ick. I had the same thing happen years ago. Anything that's full of bugs, you will just have to throw away. From now on, keep things like flour, cereals, etc., in a plastic container that the lid firmly closes on. They are weevils, and will eventually take over the whole cabinet. You'll have to take everything out, and wipe down with a disinfectant or bleach, and start over with new food. As horrible as it sounds you probably brought them home from the store where there was bugs in it already. A good thing to do, is when you first bring stuff home from the store, throw it in the freezer for a day or so. The cold will kill whatever is in there, and you won't have an infestation again. Good luck.
