Does anyone know....???
Question:Does anyone know the best way to descale a shower head?
Answers:
Fill a plastic bag with vinegar and immerse the shower head in it for a few hours or overnight. Then rinse in water. Worked well, for me.
A good cheap way is to soak it in "Coke",the fizzy drink, that is.
bicarb of soda nad a little white vinegar pop it in and leave to soak. should just fall off
Yes try taking the shower head off and soak it in a limescale remover,it is sold in most hardware stores
get a descaler from the shop
boil water put the descaler
unscrew the shower head from the pipe
dip the shower head in the boiled water with the descaler and leave it for 30 min
get a good descaler tho...
let it lie a bit in clean coca cola... coke is like acid...
Or maybe try bicarb of soda... mixed with water... usually helps with battery acid that got built up on a battery, i am sure it will work on the shower head as well
There is a great and very cheap descaling gel available from Lidl. I've always used the normal descaling liquid or vinegar and bicarb, but find this stuff much better as it is thick and sticks to the shower head.
Remove the head and place in a bowl, put the gel liberally over it and leave to soak before rinsing. The bottle only costs about £1.50 so is as cheap as a vinegar soak but doesn't smell so bad!
Good luck, I live in a hard water area and limescale is the bane of my housework!
scrub w/ vinager !
coke-it's the real thing! anyway, it also removes wax from glass and windows!
have you tried coustick sodar or white vinegar
use Viakal, or Harpic, Both these things work well
