How do I get rid of a smelly washer? it smells like must?

Question:

Answers:
If running bleach through doesn't work...you may have old, wet, moldering lint gummed in the hoses, replace the likely suspects.

run your washer with bleach. i do this 2 times and the smell should go away
use bleach and pro oxide scrub it
I would fill with water and add a couple of cups of bleach, run it thru the cycle, and then I would refill the washer, and put a quart of vinegar in and let it sit for a few hours and then drain.
Run a load with bleach or cut lemons.
Depending on what kind of washer your talking about.
I pressume that this is a washing machine? If so, do a full cycle with no washing inside. Just add softner (a lot). By doing this you will clean out the pipes and get rid of that horrible odour.
you usually throw most things out to get rid of them
Run a load of bleach water through it and then rinse out again with wash powders or fabric softener. If it is just when you first start it just run a little water in and then rinse it out. If there is a screen at your water line take it out and clean it real good. Lots of Luck!!
I believe a musty smell is hard to get rid of, but I would try clorox and some pine sol. That's is what I would do!
Usually I'm pretty good with resolving problems. I've been a housewife for 35 yrs.
run a cycle using pine sol.
wash in bi carb of soda and hang in sun
If the bleach thing doesn't work I'd run an empty load with a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar.
