The real problem, when you cook there is no exist for all the smoke from your kitchen. It just blows around and about. I would make an investment to get a kitchen hood which will suck up the order and smoke and EXHAUST it outside.
Otherwise after the smoke clears, you can spray smells which will counter the smells you don't WANT ! Maybe, just that much more for each different meal. Good Luck. I didn't enjoy sleeping with my pillow smelling like a pork chop going to bed.
Light some fragrant candles
I've found that the Febreeze thing does work. And air it out a lot.
Make sure you get rid of the oil you used, toss it or seal it tightly also if there is anything left from the meal in the trash can , get rid of that. It is helpful to spray fabric freshener on the carpets, furniture anything that can hold the smell. I fry alot of seafood and this works for me.
I no longer fry food for that reason. I'm thinking you need to clean all surfaces, cabinet doors, and mop the floor in order to get rid of some of the smell. Frying leaves a coating on everything!
clean with plain old vinegar (not any fancy ones, just the plain normal vinegar). It gets rid of all kinds of smells. Wipe down the counter tops, etc. Think about all the things that collect smells in your house. Curtains, rugs, carpets, they will all need to be sprayed with something.vinegar may work. You could also try fabreeze.
cut an onion in half and sit it on the bench and believe me it absorbs the smells with out leaving an onion smell
put 1/2 white vinegar in a pan of water, bring to a boil & simmer for 20 min, should do the trick
