How do you get rid of permanent marker?

JUST LIGHTLY RUB WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL. IT WILL REMOVE THE MARKER. REMEMBER JUST LIGHTLY TO MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T HARM THE COVER.

I've actually gotten permanent marker off notebooks with fingernail polish remover and a cotton ball!
in wood furniture with alcohol but in a book its permanent.
If it was on youre skin, it would come off in a few days...
but yearbook? is it a lot? Use whiteout and trace the letters back on. Or get another copy...
do you know what "permanent" means?
alcohol swabs work ok but they might take the paint off and windex or bleach might work.
you can get rid of permanent marker by applying thinner. Either that or you trace it with a whiteboard marker and then rub it off.
