Descaling coffee machine?
Question:i have run a limescale treatment through my senseo coffee machine and cannot get rid of the disgusting taste. have flushed it through 40 times or more and have run through some bicarb which has not helped. i dont want to buy another machine again. has anyone get any suggestions on how to get rid of the taste.
Answers:
I know senseo machines are not the same as regular coffee machines, but in our regular coffee machine, we always run plain white vinegar through it, followed by running a couple batches of water through it to clean it out thoroughly. That usually works well for us.
Try descaling it again. It may have had alot of buildup and if you dont remove it completely the taste will linger!!
I use this on my dishwasher...I don't know if it would work on coffemakers. I use sweetened/unsweeted drink mix.. Tea,kool-aid whatever... The citric acid in the mix takes out the residue and since it's not a harsh/poisonous chemical it won't harm you... Just run a cycle or 2 of plain water through in case it tastes like kool-aid
try using pure vinigar in it , it comes clear and should work then run some drinking water from a bottle thru it a few times
Try making something like Nescafe in a cup or mug.
Use 7% white vinegar. Run it through several times. PREHEAT the vinegar before you run it through. After that, run tap water through a few times and a throw-away-batch of strong coffee.
run white vinegar in it several times followed by plain water
