How can I turn a cotton shirt white again?

Question:I have a 100% cotton tunic style shirt that belongs to my toddler; it has some discolorations on it (kids are good at that heh) and I'm wondering if there's a way to safely turn it white again? Thanks for any and all suggestions!!

Answers:
I haven't tried this, but I've heard it works. Put a couple of tablespoons of Cascade (other detergents don't seem to work) in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Put the shirt in the water and leave it for several hours, checking occasionaly to see if the stain is gone. Rinse in cold water and wash as usual. Again, I have not tried this, just heard that it works.

bleach
just bleach it, or you could buy one of those tide to go (TM) pens and try that
Try soaking it all night in Tide with Bleach. Wouldn't hurt to add a little Biz in with it. This is how I keep our socks white. Hope that helps!
