How do you get urine out of matress?
Question:My son had a bed wetting accident last night and although i have washed with hot soapy water and zoflara the smell is still there.Any suggestions please.
Answers:
Well you never really get it out...but the best way is to put it outside in the hot sun stand on end against a fence where it will get good ventilation to both sides ...use baking soda and h20 and a scrub brush to scrub the ENTIRE mattress...leave it to dry COMPLETELY...then use breeze or Lysol spray on all of it ...let it dry and then put it back to use...I suggest changing sheets and mattress pad on it at least twice a week and respray it lightly and let it air a few hours on sheet changing days.but really better to get rid of it .good luck
Throw it away!
ewwww.
stuff it in the washer.
the smell will never come out all the way but you could put it out side and spray it with something hat smells real good .that will weaken the smell.
Dampen it with water, rub in Borax, let it dry and then vacuum up the powder.
Take the mattress outside.
Make a solution of bicarbonate of soda (3 pints of water and six heaped teaspoons of powder) and soak the mattress through with it.
Leave on its side (not flat) to dry off in the sun, if possible.
This should clean and deodorise at the same time.
I would try hot water(as hot as you can take) and ammonia. that should work. And you have to scrub it out instead of wipe
out in the garden weather permitting for a few days fresh air blowing through to get it absolutely dry and the odour will disappear as it dries
Take the mattress outside on a sunny day,,, put on a tarp,, leaning against something (standing) spray with a hose,,, drench it,,, turn it throughout the day,, it will dry.
I use natures miracles, its for pets---but i am sure it will work just as well, you can get it at any pet store, just pour it on the spot and let it soak through -- no smell and it will be good as new!
throw it out
put a matress protector on the new one!
