way back in time we used a 1/2 cup vinegar and a 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap, in a bout 2 - 3 gallons of hot water .
cheap and environmentally friendly.
i even use this to clean my hard wood floors.
it can also be used to clean walls --- even in houses where smokers have smoked.
if your linoleum is old and sticky use mop and glow, every time you clean. works wonders.

I use dish soap and a capful of bleach in a large mop bucket. Afterward I dry the floor with rags to pick up dirt and grime lifted from floor.
