Tea and coffee stains can be removed , by wiping with a damp cloth dipped in bicarbonate of soda or borax before rinsing
Years back in restaurant. We had to periodically put the cups in bleach water & rewash in dishwasher.
For a few cups at home. I put a little Lava soap on my wet dishcloth & rub the stained areas, wash. If your cups are of the ceramic nature, you can use a soap pad. Soap pads would scratch on glass or plastic containers.
Lemon juice works pretty good~~
I use denture cleaning tablets..Hot water, the glasses and 2 tablets. Let them soak.
