What is the best product to clean hardwood floors...?
Question:
Answers:
Todays floors are usually polyurethane finished / sealed. So what you are actually trying to get clean is the polyurethane. I recommend Bonakemi Hardwood Floor Cleaner (Bona X) which is designed specifically for this type of application.
Professionally we use this product in conjunction with microfiber mops for superior results

BTW - murphey's oil soap is made for natural wood, it will not absorb into polyurethane, instead it will leave a film on top of the surface that will attract more dirt
murphey's oil soap
Just water unless it really needs a good cleaning. Then yes, Murphy's oil soap and a soft brush.
MURPHYS OIL SOAP. it's been a great product for many many years.
orange glo or murphy's oil would be best
whether the floor is sealed with urethane or not , try 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon dish soap in about 2 - 3 gallons of water. don't let the water mix sit on the floor, wring the mop out so it does not drip..
..
It's best to not clean your floors too frequently with water... The floors will eventually warp.. Instead get yourself a microfiber dust mop and run that across your floor everyday and wash the pad...Do not dry the pad in the dryer just set it out to dry.. It will pick up any dirt/hair.. Then about once a month clean the floors with diluted vinegar and water with a slightly damp mop.
