Well, since your shoes are already wet, I would say you should put them in the washer. My parents do it all the time and my shoes come out white as they were when I bought them! Then put it in the dryer. I suggest putting Oder Eaters spray and/or foot powder to eat up the putrid stench of wet tennis shoes. Or you could just Febreeze them!
Clean them with white Vinegar and a drop of dawn, the vinegar will remove the odor.
get some kitty litter put about cup and also some arm and hammer baking soda tie the top of the sock and set it in the sock... You should be able to wash them and dry them outside in the sun also.
