How do I get blue glitter silly putty out of berber carpet?

I would say treat it like it were gum. the ice cube trick should work, but if not, try Martha Stewart's website, she has some pretty handy ideas, as well as Rachael Ray's website, did you know you can clean silver with a potato and baking soda? They both do segments on household cleaning tricks. Berber carpet is so compact, you may not get it out. Good Luck.
Take an ice cube and freeze the silly putty. Then chip the putty out of the carpet.
try putting a peice of ice on it and then try to pull it up. Good luck! If that does not work try Goo Gone.
Consult a professional carpet cleaner. The chemical makeup of silly putty is complex and you need to get the correct solvent that will not also damage your carpet. The other course of action is to make your four year old clean it out with a tootbrush over the next six months. Bet she don't do that again.
Use ice to freeze the excess play dough, which should make it easier to just chip off the carpet.
Do not rub it or anything. Let it dry first. It will be so much easier to get out of the fibers. Once you start smearing and blotting it gets into the fibers and becomes like glue and is very difficult to get out. I just take the edge of a butterknife and scrape it out with that once it dries.
wd40. spray it on it will losen it from the carpet. use paper towels to pull it up. you will need to use a carpet cleaner afterwards to clean the wd40. This is not harmful and it does work for more than just a squeeky door.
I suggest you call a professional before you tamper with the stain. You might make it worse and it will not be removed at all. If you are in SO. CAL Renew Carpet Cleaning will help you, they are awesome.

Have you tried rubbing peanut butter into it? It always worked for my kids gum. Just rub in, and let sit a bit, then wipe out, and the rest can be washed out with carpet cleaner. But I would test it first. Gum and silly putty ARE a bit different!
Good Luck!
