Whats the best thing to clean a stovetop?

Question:

Answers:
Flat glass or the type with eyes? Gas or electric?

Oven cleaner, let sit overnight. Don't spray on aluminum.
If it is an enamel stove top use a SOS steel wool soap pad
and depending on how bad it is burnt, it will require a lot of
elbow grease. But the result will be great, then rinse well with water, dry the stove top then spray with Windex multi surface
and polish it dry.it will shine like new.
Do they sell Bam or Ajax liquid cleaner in your food shop? Both are great.
Barkeepers Friend - you should find it at the grocery store. It won't scratch like SOS pads, doesn't stink and isn't toxic.

Happy cleaning!
Vim cream cleanser for glass-top ranges and a razor blade scraper. Usually your local appliance store will supply stove-top cleaning kits and new blades. If you ask nicely they may give you small sample bottles for free.
Soft scrub and a non-scratching scrubbie pad. (blue or yellow - NOT green). If you have a flat surface cooktop, you can scrape it with a razor blade held at approximately a 30 degree angle, before scrubbing it. If you don't want to use harsh chemicals, spray water on it and let it sit for about 10 minutes, wipe it off, then sprinkle baking soda on it and scrub with a non-scratching scubbie pad.
I keep a spray bottle of vinegar and water, its great for stove tops, and counters, also works good on stainless steel sinks. When I clean the tile in the bathroom, that's what I use, they always look clean and shiny. Vinegar loosens all those droppings on the stove, and does a great job.
I test all that crappy chemical material that show in TV .Just they make me sick and briefing hard at the end no clean stove.
One day I pull out top and put that in bath tub under hot water after one hour with washing powder and scotch bright cleaned it's look like brand new.
