How do I remove old blood stains ?

Question:How do I get old blood stains out of my old ballett shoes? The stains are about 2 years old!

Answers:
Try 3% hydrogen peroxide. Just dab a little on the stain with a cotton ball. Peroxide should be able to bleach the blood stain without damaging the fabric.

I was going to suggest cold water till you said "ballet shoes".
You might want to check different products at your grocery store near the clothes washing soap is. There are stain removers in spray bottles as well as ones that look like magic markers. Read the label and determine which specifically removes blood, or, if you wash clothes and have occasionally other kinds of stains then choose one of the products that removes blood plus a lot of other stains. I think Tide came out with a stain remover recently in stick form, and then there's things like "spray and wash" where you spray the fabric and then throw the garment into the wash (cold water of course).
use soap and hot water first. peroxide will remove the rest. let it soak.
I work in a hospital and we get a quite a bit of blood on us from time to time. We always use regular hydrogen peroxcide to get it out, it does not matter if it is fresh or set in. The peroxcide will get it out, and I have never had any of my clothes or shoes damaged by it.
Suck it up never go away
sorry
