Best way to clean bathroom..like around bottom of toilet where meets floor.?
Question:where the toilet lid connects to the toilet, the stains above the water in the toilet bowl and bathtub and shower tile grout?
Answers:
Okay.in the bathroom around the toliet - I always use paper towels and something like Mr. Clean Antibacterial or Lysol spray. When you buy yourself a new toothbrush keep the old one. It'll come in handy to clean the area where the toliet lid connects to the toliet. If you have stains use an all purpose cleaner with bleach to take care of it. The inside of toliet- I usually use The Works toliet bowl cleaner. If that doesn't help, try Lime-Away, CLR or something along those lines to tackle the water stains. The grout- it depends on what the problem is. If you have hard water you need to buy a good cleaner that is made for that. Like Kaboom, CLR, Lime-Away. and it may take several good scrubbings. Don't be afraid to spray down your shower and let it soak, and spray it down again and then scrub. If that doesn't help you may need something a bit stronger to get through the build up. If it's stained, try the all purpose cleaner with bleach. Let it soak into the grout. Or if it's mildew then you need to get a cleaner made to kill it.
Hope this helps
Mr. Clean Erasers!! they r the BEST!!
bleach... its the only real clean!
Simple Green and a scrubbrush. Quick.
Plain bleach.
Bowl of warm water, ajax, bleach, and a GOOD scrub brush. Be prepared to ruen your outfit so wear crappy clothes.
Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I think I believe in magic now that I have used it.
I vote for bleach. kills the germs, smells clean
i use a spray bottle with bleach and then wipe with a sponge and hot water.
to freshen afterwards, i use 20 mule and either mix with water to make a paste and scrub grout, or for toilet i pour some powder in and let sit overnight
Although Mr Clean is great at erasing, it will be a waste to use it on your toilet. The thing I've found is Clorox Foaming spray. It's a 3-in-1. Cleans, gets rid of stains and sanitizes.
I like to use bleach water with soap(like dish soap.) The soap cleans and the bleach sanitizes,so you get a clean, fresh smelling bathroom.Bleach also kills the mold and mildew.
Bleach is the best soulution to clean with but get you a clean clothe and start to clean your heart out.
I know it may be a too strong thing to do, but I clean with clorox bleach. I either use it on a wad of toilet paper or I'll use it mixed with water and use it on a sponge (use gloves please). For the toilet I put clorox in the back (where the water is) and let it set, then I flush and let that sit. Then I swish it and usually it all comes clean. Once in a while there is a build up of lime, and then I use "Lime Away" (letting it soak in water with Lime Away in it) and then lightly scrub, or use cleanser on a sponge to remove what's left of the stain. You'll have to run a few fams in the house and maybe even open the windows till the smell goes away. I understand there are things called "clorox wipes" that may be just as good.
Once I visited a Vet with my pet and I realized that they clean everything with rubbing alcohol. So occasionally, and especially in the kitchen, I wipe down my formica and floor with a handywipe with rubbing alcohol on it. When it dries the smell goes away.
Clorox bleach will remove mold. In addition, you can use other products like "Windex" for the shower...But I caution you not to use both products simultaneously or you will asphixiate yourself. If you use a lot of cold water after using each product then you can use both at different times to clean with.
I always use paper towels to clean the bathroom. I can't stand the thought of using a cloth repeatedly in that room. A roll of paper towels isn't expensive and worth it.
Clorox spray in a bottle works for everything you want to clean in the bathroom...I usually let it sit for a minute before drying and wipe everything clean with paper towels and throw it away so I want have to worry about using a dirty sponge in dirty water over and over again.
Lysol All Purpose Cleaner can be sprayed and set for a little while and then rinse it off. or you can use TIDE with bleach. Spray a little water on the spots and then sprinkle the tide. let it set and then scrub it off. If you don't wanna use store bought chemicals, white distilled vinegar gets up just about anything but you'll have to scrub with a hard scrub brush.
