I need to wash a pen mark on my (dress) shirt?
Question:It's a really really expensive shirt, but I accidentally scratched my pen on it, so there's a slight pen mark, black ink. How can I take it out? With a special kind of detergent, bleach,...?
Answers:
Hairspray is what I've always used.
I looked it up, and I found instructions for using hairspray to remove ink stains:

Basically, if it's already dry, spray it with hair spray and blot from the front and back until you get the stain out. Follow up with a stain treater (I like Zout) and wash.
Good luck!
Try using a little shampoo on a white wash clothe. Take your finger and rub the shampoo in and around the stain. keep working it for a while till it lightens,
Then use a white wash clothe to wipe the spot don't make the stain larger.
Repeat if needed
use tide to go it works pretty well so ive heard its at walmart and such.
Spray a little bit of hairspray on the stain and then blot it with a clean clothe. Launder as usual.
hairspray works. I have also found the Tide to go pen works if the mark is fresh and you need to go to a meeting or something. Good luck
Get some regular rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip and rub it on the ink mark until it fades or disappears. Then wash it as usual. This has worked for me many times, on regular t-shirts and dress shirts.
PURE LEMON JUICE.
Use 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, and 2/4Th cups of water, and let it soak in, then squirt a little of your dish washing detergent, and rub on the spot, this should take care of the pen mark.
Pre treat it with oxi clean or you can have it taken to the cleaners and tell them about the pen mark on the shirt first.
If all else fails try soaking the stain in milk over night. The acid in milk will often work wonder especially on new stains BLUE
Spray the pen mark or ink, with hair spray. Then rub (not to ruff) and wash in warm water. The ink should lift out.
