Do you like soft polyester clothes too?
Question:I like the feel of polyester, or polyester blends, much more than other fabrics (including cotton). Polyester, or blends, feel much softer and more comfortable and light. Other materials like cotton seem too hard or crisp. But I don't understand why polyester is not as popular. It even seems like people look down on polyester. Why? (When I'm talking polyester, I'm not talking about that crazy loud disco 70s clothes, but just regular looking pants and shirts.)

No, I don't. Polyester makes me feel like my skin is being suffocated.
Also, I associate poly with the 70's, and I really disliked much of the 70's. Give me 100% cotton!
There are some really great feeling poly-blend fabrics. The stuff really isn't very 70's it must be the person to whom you spoke. There are many major Top name designers in todays market that utilize poly blends.
Anyways, I find the largest problem is the fabric doesn't breathe, therefore it is hot.
'Natural' fibers are really in right now, so polyester is out. I really like poly blends because I think they are more comfortable and easier to clean but it is not 'natural' so...
