actually, I spray mine down with cleaner, and throw it in the washing machine. it really works great, just DON"T DRY IT!! Let it hang dry- smells great in the bathroom too!
mean green all purpose cleaner... that stuff is GREAT
If it's a liner - just throw it in the washing machine.
If it's a curtain, soak it in the tub with vinegar so the design doesn't get messed up.
you can actually stick the shower curtain straight into the washer and wash it like you would a load of clothes with deteregent. When finished hang to dry, or hang back up in your shower to dry.
If it's thick vinyl, I put it in the washer with a little CLR. If it'd the thin kind, I'd replace it. You could also lay it flat outside and spray with cleaner and rinse.
Fill the tub with warm water and a mixture of laundry soap. Let the curtain soak, then get in the tub and just walk all over it. I know it sounds odd, but it works great, and is sooo easy!
your better off buying a new ne for 5 bucks but if you want that one then try cleaning it with 409
I once saw on a show on lifetime network where they put the shower curtain into the bath tub, ran some water on it and put some cleaner on it. Now here is the fun part. . . they got into the bathtub with it and stepped and danced around until it came clean. I actually tried this and it worked very well. Try it out. Hey what can it hurt.
Even though it says wipe with a damp cloth, I put mine in the washing machine on the gentle cycle with warm or hot water with several towels. The towels help to scrub it. Then I just hang it up, do not put in the dryer. Dry the towels, of course.
I wash mine in the washing machine then I dry it in the dryer and it comes out clean and ready to put back on.
A cold water wash in the washing machine with a cup of bleach to kill mildew.
Recently I found a new way other than washeron gentle cycle with bleach.. youmay want to try this--Tilex Mildew Root(penetrator and remover).i sprayed my curtain let it sit a while, and just rinsed where all the yucky was, it completely cleaned it to its fresh state.hope this really helps you.
Just right in the washing machine, cold water, quarter cup detergent, NO bleach of any kind, GENTLE cycle. Air dry only.
I usually just wash it in the washer. After a couple of washes I just chuck it for a new one. They're pretty cheap. ;-)=
Wash them in the washing machine, that's what I do.
The easiest and most efficient way is to throw it in the washing maching on the gentle cycle with bleach and detergent. The bleach will kill any bacteria and get rid of the mildew.
I usually wash mine with white towels. The towels help to clean the curtain, as they rub up against it. You will be suprised how easy this is!
I have found it is best to wash in warm water in your washing machine, it does wonders put in the dryer for a few minutes and bring out and clean and no wrinkles...Good Luck...it really works!
