Remove burnt on tomato sause on teflon frying pan?
Question:my husband made spagetti in my brand new teflon frying pan. He burnt the sauce, so the pan has patches of black crust. then he put it in the dishwasher, unrinsed and it went throuh the dryer cycle also. No amount of soaking or scrubbing with a teflon safe sponge is loosing this. How do I clean the pan without ruining the teflon.
Answers:
Try a baking soda & water paste. I haven't used it for burned tomatoe sauce, but it works for alot of other food disasters such as set in grease. It is also environmentally friendly!
fill pan with a little water and place on stove on high and let water boil for a few minutes, it should loosen up and rinse out. without hurting teflon
Use a product called simply green
first answer is what i do, boil water in the pan, it works great.
buy a new one
Buy some Oxy Clean powder..fill the pan with very hot water and pour one scoop of the Oxy Clean into the pan and let sit for about an hour.
I use this for cleaning the drip pans on my stove and they always come clean without any scrubbing.
