Is it possible to dye this item another colour?

Question:It's a top that's made of 56% Polyester & 44% Cotton. Is it safe to dye it another colour, it had bleach spilt on it a while ago.

Answers:
Of course just buy some clothing dye and use the laundry tub... It will dye just fine! I would go to a darker color to make it look more even! Good Luck

Yes, there is enough cotton in the garment to absorb the coulor. The synthetic fibres do not take on as much coulr as the cotton, so you might have to use a stronger solution if you are aiming for a dark intensive colour.
it should be fine except the bleach stain might be a touch lighter, depending the colour it was/is going to be
Get some RIT dye from the grocery store or the discounter. I prefer the laundry machine method and the liquid dye because it gives better coverage. Put the dye in the washer and fill with the hottest water temperature. Load in the garment without twisting it so that it has few folds or wrinkles. Agitate the garment and stop the agitation (soaker cycle works well for this) and allow the garment to soak in the dye bath. There are directions as to how long to allow the garment to soak, but I always soak it longer than it says to. I also throw in a cup of white vinegar during the rinse cycle to set the dye and keep it from bleeding on other clothing when you wash it. After the garment is dyed, run the washer again either empty or do a load of rags and add a cup of bleach to clean out any residual dye from the drum and agitator. In my experience, bleach stains do not completely disappear when dyeing the garment. The color takes but it does not thoroughly penetrate to become unoticeable.
