Use your own hair shampoo, it works works just as well as any carpet shampoo. But if you can afford it ,it might be a good idea to have it steam cleaned, your carpet will last a bit longer, and you will have less chance of getting mould growing from the underside of the carpet. If you do spot clean , lay a towel with a heavy object on top. this will help dry up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet. Hope this helps you a little

what's a cUrpet?
Spray a mixture of vinegar and water (normally 50/50) for the spots.

Scrub hard with a brush, and blot dry. citrus oil works well too.
Well for spot cleaning or in my carpet cleaner I like to add some clorox clean up. its a spray I dilute it a little, and it gets the stains out..This will not bleach your carpet as it is not staight bleach..I have used this method many times..also, you would be amazed what baby wipes can get out of a carpet as well.

Caution...just because I sad clorox..doesnt mean use straight bleach.
