How do I get oil (from food) stains out of my clothes?

Question:

Answers:
I have used straight dawn dishwashing liquid on spots... even those that have been 'set' by washing/drying already... and it takes them out completely. just squirt a little on the spot and rub it in with the spout of the dawn bottle... let sit for1/2 hour-1 hour or more. and then wash in HOT water... and the stain will be gone... (we have mostly cotton clothes, so hot is ok... if your is not able to stand HOT water, use the warmest temp you can) wash and dry as normal and it should be ok!

I keep dawn in the laundry room all the time... between hubby's oil stains and kids pizza stains, it is needed!

Make a paste of a dishwashing soap (Dawn works well) and baking soda. Apply it to the stain and let it sit overnight. Wash as ususal.
i use palmolive dish detergent and scrub it in with a toothbrush and let sit for a day then wash as usual. it works really well.
Not trying to burst your bubble but. if you already let it set or dried it OR washed in warm water it's permanetly there.
I think You Can get it out With Oxy Clean. And try Washing it in Cold Water.
Try using shampoo. If it gets the oil out of your hair won't it work on other oils?
I use a drop or 2 of dawn dishwashing liquid. Rub and launder as usual. This has never let me down.
