Question:I have bought a dress for a prom and my son put a small mark on it. I sponged this out and left it to dry and it now has a water mark on it and am wondering if there is a way I can remove this as ut is very noticable.

Answers:
You could try steaming it to blur the edge of the water mark. Don't actually touch the fabric with the iron, just let it hover over the stain and let the steam touch the fabric. Then rub it over with a cotton towel.
The other thing you could try is to take it to a dry cleaner. They are usually pretty good at that sort of thing.

dry clean
The fabric is damaged. If it is located where few would see it then wear it and forget it, otherwise, buy another dress. And, if it is very much like satin DO NOT steam it like someone else suggested because water/steam stains this type of fabric as you have found out the painful way.
