Is moving your washer across multiple states using a Penske or Uhaul a good idea or will it ruin the washer?

Question:I'm trying to find substantial proof that moving a washer across states can potentially break down the washer...what information can you give me. Most accurate information is appreciated.

Answers:
if its a toploading washer, it would be fine, just make sure and keep it upright, it isn't good for them to be laid down after the factory installed shipping pins have been removes (ie if it has ever been used)

if it is a frontloader, you should re install the shipping pins the instructions that came with your washer would have told you to keep them for transportation and wopuld tell you how to reinstall them.

Dryers are fine to be moved

Move it we moved two years ago from Oklahoma to Georgia stored everything for six weeks moved in hooked everything up no problems
tiedowns straps work wonders...unless your dragging the washer behind the moving van with them
Yes, your washer will be fine to be transported by either Penske or Uhaul as they have hydraulic and air ride on those trucks so your washer as I say is good to go anywhere you want to take it. Good Luck ! and I wish you a happy moving day
