Hydrogen Peroxide, the regular kind kept in medicine cabinets, will fade that stain! Do a small test area first in a spot that is hidden like in a closet. If it doesn't damage the color of the carpet, go ahead and saturate the stain, let sit 15 minutes, blot up. Repeat as necessary!
Woolite or Spot Shot
i guess its red? those are the hardest stains to remove. call a carpet cleaning supply co. (in phone book) they sell a product made to take red satins out using white rags and an iron. you may even be able to find it in the industrial cleaning isle at home depot. I would even try a product called L A's totally awesome. Its a lite yellow colored liquid in a spray bottle, i get it at the dollar type stores. I use it for everything, laundry stains, carpet, everything!
Though it might seem a little extreme, renting a rug doctor at your local grocery store along with the rug doctor carpet cleaner should easily get rid of the stain (and make your entire carpet look great!)
If not even that will work, the best alternative may be to temporarily cover it with a rug.
If the carpet is white, you can but a 1/2 cup of bleach in the carpet scrubber. Even if it is light in color, you may try a dab of bleach and let it dry to see what it does. I had a friend with really crappy carpet, it was all stained, we bleached the whole carpet with a Bissel Scrubber. It was tan when we started and we bleached it to almost white. It looked a great deal better! You may consider this, according to your situation. Just be sure to test a spot. Good luck!
Try the Woolite dual action carpet spray. I got mine at Lowes. My son embedded purple crayon into my light carpet and it got it out. (I don't want to know how he was able to color the way he did and have it stay in carpet.) I have also used it for various other hard to get out stains and has come through. The only thing I do is let it sit on the stain a little longer than that of the recommendation. Good luck.
