How do I clean a laminate floor?
Question:I have a black and white laminate floor. I usually just use the wet swiffers (it is a very small kitchen), but now the floor looks foggy. Especially the black tiles. If there something better to use?
Answers:
mix equal parts of vinegar (cuts residue left from previous cleaners), lemon juice (cuts grease and counters the pungent odor of vinegar) and warm water. You can wet a rag with this solution and stick it on your swiffer (I always do this instead of getting ripped off by the swiffer refills). Works like a charm, and is "cheap and cheerful." Also not harmful for the enviro, pets or children.
worm water. a wet swiffter prolly left a film behind.
Pledge has a new floor cleaner and it works very, very well. Try it.
This may be a bit time consuming but it works. Fill a bucket with warm water and some white vinegar. Get a rag and a towel and get down on your hands and knees. Dunk the rag in the vinegar and water and starting in a small area scrub, then rinse the rag in the vinegar and water and wring out the water in the rag and soak up the puddles of water, then take the towel and dry and buff the floor to a shine. Then move on to the next section.
You need to strip off the old wax. That is was is foggy looking. Mop the floor with an amonia solution to remove the the old wax. Then if the floor looks dull, use Mop and Glo to bring back the shine.
