How do you get a burnt stain out of furniture? Or can you even?

Question:I left my straintener on my dresser top for about 8 hours and it left a burnt stain. Is there anyway i could get that out?? Please Help ME!

Answers:
There is only one way to get it out that is sand it down and repaint it. A lot of work but sometimes when you do this it looks better than it use to. I have sanded furniture down and can't believe the wood under all the paint. It's beautiful. I just clear coat it and wow what a difference.
